PC1G: First-Generation Student Support

The PC1G initiative is designed to help first-generation students and their families find resources and programs and have their questions answered, so that they may thrive at Providence College.

What is “First-Generation”?

We generally define “first-generation college students” as those whose parents did not complete a four-year college education. While it is our intent for PC1G to serve those students and their families, we hope that any member of the Providence College community who needs assistance and finds their way to this page will reach out to the resources listed within.

Approximately 15% of PC students are first-generation students.
